A tenting basecamp in
Tackling the Continental Divide Trail? Take a rest day in Pinedale, Wyoming’s first designated Gateway Town. We are thrilled to host travelers from around the world as they challenge themselves by hiking or biking this iconic route.
We manage the South Jackson Avenue Campground for the Town of Pinedale. Located just two blocks off of US Highway 191 and within easy walking distance to food, beverage, laundromats, showers, bike repair and internet at the local library.
Just the basics
South Jackson Ave. Campground provides a clean and convenient place to pitch your tent. We have potable water, a portable toilet and garbage service. No frills = cheap price! $10 per tent per night.
The trail is long and your body is sore. Spend an extra day in Pinedale and enjoy locally crafted beer at the Wind River Brewing Company or a soak in the pool or hot tub at the Pinedale Aquatic Center (showers and climbing wall too!). Our Sublette County Library rocks; the friendliest staff in the West can help you get online or loan you a bike tool. Need to check on your route? The Sublette County Visitor Center, US Forest Service and BLM offices can assist. A to Z Hardware has trained bicycle mechanics. The Great Outdoor Shop can cover any trail gear needs, and we here at Green River Gear can handle many types of repairs.
Wishing you the trip of a lifetime along the Continental Divide, or wherever you are headed. We hope you take fond memories of Pinedale with you when you go, and look forward to seeing you again soon!
